REGIONAL BURN BAN IN EFFECT
Due to a lack of rain and extremely dry conditions, ALL open burning and contained fires, within the borders of Southampton Twp. Cumberland, Southampton Franklin County, Shippensburg Borough, and Shippensburg Township are prohibited, effective immediately, until further notice.
As our township grows, there is more than adequate space for growth as well as ample opportunities for new businesses. Our Planning Committee helps to maintain orderly development in our Township to preserve the heritage, safety, and beauty of our community.
Southampton Township is governed by a Board of Supervisors and consists of three (3) elected officials, each serving a six (6) year term. The Board of Supervisors is charged with the general government of the Township to secure the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens.
